Do you want to be part of starting a new adapted primary school? We are now looking for engaged teaching assistants for our new operation at Skogstorpsskolan. The Adapted Primary School Skogstorp will belong to Hjortsberg but will be located at Skogstorpsskolan. In our newly renovated premises, we will offer 8-12 student places, and the students will belong to Skogstorpsskolan's after-school program.

The Adapted Primary School is a place where teachers, together with teaching assistants, school management, and student health teams work to create the best possible conditions for our students. The Adapted Primary School is located at Hjortsbergsskolan, Tullbroskolan, and Skogstorpsskolan.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently seeking engaged and driven teaching assistants who want to help start a new operation at the Adapted Primary School Skogstorp. At the Adapted Primary School, students with intellectual disabilities attend.

Here, we work to ensure that our students receive an adapted education that meets their needs and challenges. Our goal is for our students to have a safe school day, where they have the opportunity to develop their independence and reach as far as possible in their knowledge development. As a teaching assistant, you need to be inventive, flexible, and open to trying new things to find the students' motivation and joy in schoolwork and after-school activities. The work involves actively participating in play, sports, cycling, swimming, and other activities. You will work both during school hours and in after-school care, which may involve openings and closings in after-school care.

You will be part of a team together with other teaching assistants and teachers. The teaching is planned by teachers, but both teaching assistants and teachers support the students in their learning. The position is 80-100%.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a teaching assistant who is:

• Self-sufficient and organized.
• Physically active and flexible.
• Solution-oriented, attentive, and humble.
• Interested in clear pedagogical methods and various forms of communication support.
• Familiar with low-arousal responses and using digital tools.

Experience working with children/youth with intellectual disabilities, either in adapted primary school or within LSS, is required. Education in the teaching assistant profession is also a plus. You must be able to respond to students calmly even in stressful situations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
